Why?
Compulsory schooling (Schulpflicht) applies to children in Germany: they must attend school, and home schooling is generally not allowed. There is no compulsory voting and no obligation to practise a religion. 'Schweigepflicht' is a duty of confidentiality for professions such as doctors.
