Why?

The right to asylum (Article 16a of the Basic Law) protects people who are politically persecuted in their home country, so it only concerns foreigners. Human dignity, protection of the family and freedom of expression apply to everyone living in Germany, Germans and foreigners alike.

Das Asylrecht (Artikel 16a Grundgesetz) schützt Menschen, die in ihrem Heimatland politisch verfolgt werden. Es gilt also nur für Ausländerinnen und Ausländer. Menschenwürde, Schutz der Familie und Meinungsfreiheit gelten für alle Menschen in Deutschland.

Remember: Asylum is only needed by non-Germans.
